  • To Provide and Maintain Scythe: We use your personal data to operate and maintain the App, including providing you with AI-generated suggestions and insights via the OpenAI API.
  • To Improve User Experience: All information is private and only used internally to improve Scythe’s functionality, user interface, and features.
  • To Communicate with You: We may use your contact details to send important updates, respond to your inquiries, and provide customer support.

4. Use of OpenAI API and Data Retention

Scythe uses the OpenAI API to generate and provide AI responses. By using Scythe, you understand and agree to the following regarding data usage and retention by OpenAI:

  • OpenAI’s Data Usage: As of March 1, 2023, data sent to the OpenAI API is not used to train or improve OpenAI models (unless you explicitly opt in to share data with us).
  • Data Retention: To help identify abuse, API data may be retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days, after which it will be deleted (unless otherwise required by law). For trusted customers with sensitive applications, zero data retention may be available. With zero data retention, request and response bodies are not persisted to any logging mechanism and exist only in memory in order to serve the request.

We will not use or access any data sent to the OpenAI API except as necessary to provide the Scythe service.

5. How We Share Your Information

  • Third-Party Service Providers: We do not share your personal information with third parties except for OpenAI, which is essential for the chatbot functionality. No additional third-party analytics or ad networks are utilized for the Scythe App.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

6. Security

We take appropriate security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Scythe is rated 4+ and is designed to be accessible to a wide audience. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age without verifiable parental consent. If you learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without such consent, please contact us at support@soniare.net and we will take steps to delete such information.
